Bridge Construction

Maymodern Group is the Specialist in any type of bridge construction. Bridges are a common feature of the built environment and one of the key elements of civil engineering. The basic principles of bridge design are dependent on the load-bearing structure; whether flat, convex or concave. These are better known as beam, arch or suspension bridges.

FormWork System

Formwork is temporary or permanent molds into which concrete or similar materials are poured. In the context of concrete construction, the falsework supports the shuttering molds.

Steel Structural Fabrication

Structural fabrication refers to the cutting, bending, and assembling of steel to create different products. During structural steel fabrication, several pieces of steel are combined together to form different structures of predefined sizes and shapes intended for assembly into buildings, industrial equipment, tools, and various other final products.

Strutting System

A method of giving the temporary support to the side of deep trench or when subsoil is loose or very soft is known as timbering (i.e. shoring) and strutting. It consists of timber planks and strut to give temporary support to the side of trench.

Warehouse Construction

Function is the most obvious difference between building a warehouse and other construction projects. A warehouse is a building that holds items belonging to a company. A warehouse may also need to provide refrigeration, safety measures for storing chemicals or other special features. But fundamentally, as storage facilities, warehouses have a simple function: to keep stock secure between manufacture, transport and trading.

Precast Products

Precast concrete is a construction product produced by casting concrete in a reusable mold or "form" which is then cured in a controlled environment, transported to the construction site and lifted into place ("tilt up"). In contrast, cast-in-place concrete is poured into site-specific forms and cured on site. Precast stone is distinguished from precast concrete using a fine aggregate in the mixture, so the final product approaches the appearance of naturally occurring rock or stone. More recently expanded polystyrene is being used as the cores to precast wall panels. This is lightweight and has better thermal insulation.

Railway Works

Railways Works Includes, new construction, renewal, repair & removal of tracks, new construction, renewal, repair & removal of points, civil engineering close to tracks, renewal and repair of level crossings, track and points inspection, crane tracks, emergency measures.

Bridge Demolition Works

These projects range from simple footbridges to post tensioned viaducts located within a busy city centre. This includes rail, highways and pedestrian structures.

Our involvement has been working with the demolition contractor to provide demolition engineering support for the demolition sequencing, analysis of structures and demolition methodology.

As these projects complete we will start compiling and publishing case studies outlining our involvement and the demolition engineering methodologies involved.
